In Person Coven

I am starting an in person coven in my area. If you live in North Western Pennsylvania, Venago County and are interested in going please leave a message here or mail me. Anyone is welcome but please read the rules first.

I am getting permission to hold coven meetings at the Oil City Library. I will only do this if enough people are willing to participate. I can also try and hold them at the Franklin Library if that suits the members participating better.

These meetings would most likely be held on Tuesday or Wednesday at 6 or 7 pm. I will give out more information at a later date. This coven will only by created if enough people are participating.

Some rules will be that you must be willing to use your real name. You have to sign in when entering events at the library and cannot use names other then the one on your birth certificate. These are Government rules not my own. You will be on camera and if you harass other members law enforcement will be called. Children under 16 must have parental permission. Again these are not my rules.

The legal age of majority in Pennsylvania is 18 so you'd better require parental permission of anyone up to the age of 18 if you wish to avoid legal issues.

I realize this but in order to participate in library activities under the age of 16 must have parental permission and under 13 be accompanied by an adult. I've been given all the information but do thank you for your concern.

You didn't mention in your original post, but if your coven is going to be a Wiccan coven then teaching to anyone under legal age without a parent's permission is a crime which can result in hefty fines and even jail time. The library may require permission for those under 16, but if you are going to be engaging in religous practices I would up that age to 18 to keep yourself out of trouble.

But do as you please.

Thank you once again and this is not a Wiccan class. I said I would give out more information at a later date when I had more information. This is for the Asatruar which I did fail to mention so please forgive me. It also is not a class but a simple meeting of fellow Asatruar.

It doesn't matter if it's wicca or asatru, if you're teaching religion to minors, you can get in serious legal trouble.
