Illusion Magick

Illusion magick, or glamoury, is something that has interested me deeply. Has anyone had any success with this type of magick? And if so, I'd love to learn more about it that isn't just fluff.

Just as a reminder, from what I've understood of ilusion magick, it is creating or changing something that isn't really there. For example, making someone hear something that actually didn't happen, or see something that isn't there.

I appriciate all the help. Blessed be!

By the sound of it, it sounds like fluff. However, theres still a chance it isn't. I personally do not know, but if it interests you, read about it.

You can't change the laws of physics with magic. I'm afraid it isn't possible.

Ogreen, that is why it is called "illusion" magick, because the person doing that type of magick can't really break the laws of physics, but it is perceived as so by others.

If you are skilled enough with hypnosis and have enough time you can make someone see what isn`t there with right trigger but aside from that it`s pretty much fluff.

This is "stage" illusion; and it can be very effective! Having spent a lifetime in showbusiness I can tell you that I have seen Illusionists make all sorts of things "appear" that are not really there. But it is not "real" magic! Real magic is not an illusion; it can be demonstrated. I have done so, many times, over the years.

The type of illusion I'm taking about would not actually be 'there'. It would be in the mind of the person. Can it not be done? I imagine it is quite similar to hypnosis, true, but more as projecting a thought or idea.

Glamor magic isn't about creating physical illusions. Illusions in a magical sense is the same as any other kind of legitimate spell. Don't want to be noticed? There's a glamor for that. Want to bring more business in? There's a glamor to make your business more enticing. In essence, glamor is much like altering the aura of a person, place, or item to make it seem a different way than it actually is. The laws of physics still apply.
