Hey my name is Yasmine but people can call me Yammy if they want:)also im here to learn more about people experiences being witches or warlocks and to also gain more knowledge on being a witch and carry on my mothers tradition.

Well Barbi your partial right. Warlock was and has never been a name for a male witch, a male witch is called a male witch (if choosing to take the title). Warlock means oathbreaker, this definition came from Ireland.

By calling a male witch a Warlock, it's insulting that person and accusing him of being a oathbreaker. This name was given to men witches, when by commercializatoin, they took the name from a definition and made it into a name.

Hey yammy! Welcome to this site. Yea,barbi and power are right. Warlocks ate titles given to the oathbreakers. You can call them male witches,in my opinion. Depends on people's beliefs. yea,it generally does mean oathbreakers. Have a nice time on SoM!---Rinx
