Welcome to the Pagan Pride 2013 Forum section on Spells Of Magic.
If you are unfamiliar with the Pagan Pride Project, it is a movement of events and celebrations across the world each year in late Summer / early Fall where Pagans meet and celebrate.
You can read more about it here:
http://www.paganpride.org/
And search to find an event near you here:
http://www.paganpride.org/where
These events are held in cities all around the world, and each one is different based on what the event organizers want and are able to set up. But in general they are a great event to go to whether you are brand new to any form of Paganism or if you have been practicing for decades. You can meet other people like you, learn lots, see lots, and of course there will be no shortage of performers and vendors willing to discuss and sell their products.
This year, SpellsOfMagic.com will be sponsoring some of these events, with hopes of expanding our sponsorship program in future years.
Usage of this forum will be to help promote your local Pagan Pride Day event. If you are planning to attend a local event, organizing a PPD event or would like to meet other SoM members a the event you can use this forum to make posts, here are the rules:
1) Only one post per event/city
2) The topic of the post must be City Name - Date
3) The start of the posts must include the date, time and location of the event
4) The posts must include the disclaimer:
"While it is interesting and exciting to meet people you have only known online, everyone should take great care when agreeing to meet a stranger for the first time. We recommend going to the events with a friend, or at the very least inform others of where you are going and who you are meeting if you are planning on meeting other members from SoM at this or any other PPD event."
I will pin the Calgary PPD notice at the top of the forum as an exmaple. Any posts which does not follow the 4 points above will be deleted.
After the first post, replies can include anything regarding that city's PPD. If you are a member of SoM planning to go there, feel free to post when and where you will be (of you are a vendor, organizer, etc - where you can be found)
