A reflection on WATER

Recently I found myself reflecting on the elements and more specifically water and decided to share my thoughts.

It moves through us and around us at all times. It brings life and refreshing rebirth. Water can be a simply thing to look at and realize its significance as its inherent within us to depend on it for our everyday tasks and survival. Though, how often do we actually "feel" and take in its essence, its energy, its force of life? How often do we regard water as a sacred living force that must be respected and loved? There's many of us that have had those moments in the shower after a difficult time in our life and we find ourselves reflecting and finding change of thought or conclusions that could change our course. We have those moments as the water washes over us where we say, "today I need to do this" or "never again will I let this happen to me" or even "I should say sorry". As the water washes over us we allow the water to carry away our regrets or decisions, what have you. When we do the dishes we find we think about many the same types of things. As we clean and wipe the cup and bowl we place the new and clean on the shelf for new use. After a hot day, we retreat to a place of running water to refresh ourselves of exhaustion, in hopes to cool our heavy brow.

Whats so interesting about all these every day uses of water is that they are just that...every single day uses; so much a part of our daily routine and so much a part of our living journey. Think about that, its a part of our JOURNEY....
Think of the river. It never stops. It moves and flows. As rocks and trees fall across its path it , it cuts a new path. Think of the earth which takes in the rain and the morning dew. The trees take in this energy of life. Takes it in and returns it to the greater cycle eventually becoming our refreshing drink we take in to cool our heavy brow. We take in the same energy of life that never stops, flows, moves, lives.
Alright, brass takes... Water is our flowing emotions, our feeling, our decisions and pains. The same water flows through everything on this planet and we move with it. It is indeed a sacred part of our lives.

We need to stop seeing elements as simply part of our craft, whatever path it may be. The elements are more than just a part of our daily routine. They are a very force of life and mother earth. We should reflect on them deeply, spiritually passionately. Let them become a part of our very person and everything we are made of. This is what I meant by we need to really "feel" the elements. So many times in public chat many others as well as myself notice how the elements only referred to in terms of magick and the craft and spells. The forces we participate with and focus to create magick do not depend on US to create...we depend on THEM. It's inevitable that the energies we use within magick are going to live and exist past our time, we are only in this life passing through, depending on the elements and other life energies to allow us life. Meanwhile we participate in their movement (water again) through our magick and craft of spells BUT ALSO everyday magick and tasks such as dishes, taking a shower or drinking. This is the true nature of the elements. This is their gift to us. We live WITH them and THROUGH them. Magick is made WITH them and THROUGH them... Water teaches us this ever present and ever constant movement and flow with and through.

Anyhoo, those are my thoughts for a moment ...

Blessings!
