Advice? Please?

So, I feel as though I have a special connection with dogs. When we first got first dog, about 2 years ago, she was really anxious, and she was rescued from an island, and taken away from her mother, to add more pressure. When I met her, she immediately started snuggling with me. My dad was really really surprised, because my dog had never done anything like that before, so quickly. My second dog, was normal though. I met her when she was about a week old, as I recall, but she was perfectly calm, but when my dad or aunt held her, she would squirm, and wiggle.

So, I would like some advice, because I would want to advance this ability, so I ask of the community, can you hrlp mr advance this ability of mine?

Thanks.

Personally I'm not sure if this is an ability as much as the dogs are recognizing your nurturing personality and they are becoming comfortable with you. My little sister was the same way. But If you want to try to advance this I would suggest continue to meditate and be relaxed when you interact with them. They can smell fear and anxiety and then they get stressed.

One way to nurture your talent is to study dog behavior. There's a fellow out there named Stanley Coren who writes excellent dog behavior books. The one that introduced me to him was 'How to Speak Dog'. Excellent author who doesn't believe in the 'Alpha Dog' approach commonly seen with Ceaser Milan.

It could be you're a natural with dog behavior. Or you just have the right pheromones to go along with handling dogs. Either way, good for you! It's an ability you should be proud to have!
