Could she have natural talent?

At lunch today I was practicing with psi balls-- just creating them and getting a feel for them, really-- when the (particularly dense) psi ball I was working with seemed to receive some sort of burst of energy, because it suddenly pushed against my hands with impressive force and grew to a much larger size than I've ever managed, without losing its density. I'd just finished a conversation with my friend (she was messing with my previous psi ball, passing her hand through it and all that), which included a game we play that involves sharing mental images, so assuming it was her I asked her to do whatever she had done again. Sure enough, I felt the psi ball swell with energy, and then return to it's original size once she stopped. Just to make sure I wasn't imagining it, I had her do it again while I closed my eyes, so that seeing her concentrate on my hands wasn't having some sort of placebo effect. The psi ball still reacted just as strongly. The thing is, though, she isn't a witch-- I don't know if she even belives in it -- and she doesn't know I am one. She's never to my knowledge used a psi ball, either, so she wouldn't know how to use or make one. My question is, is it possible that she may have some sort of natural talent? If so, should I tell her so?

I think so, but it would be best if you were clear about how you would be speaking from your own perspective and beliefs, and give her the option to take the invitation into this world or reject it.

To answer the question itself, I think it can be strange. One major reason I got into metaphysics and the occult was because (this is how I interpret it) I was too sensitive to these things, meaning that people who did not know that they were doing it, or didn't even believe that this exists, would be doing some sort of magic at me anyway. I still haven't figured out if the ritual parts of magic allow a person to gain metaphysical power or metaphysical control (of power that is always there anyway.) Or, you know, if I'm just crazy and hallucinating things and blaming other people who didn't mean to do something that they don't even know what I'm talking about.

But if you and your friend play at sharing mental images, it could be that she's open to it. Might as well try to meet each other halfway somehow, since this could be worth exploring. Sounds cool!

Thanks! I wasn't planning on forcing her into anything, I didn't mean to make it sound like that. Also, you're right, she does like this sort of thing. I was thinking that I'd show her how to make a psi ball (with help from the internet, I'm no master myself!) and we could go from there. I figure it would be pretty cool to have friend to practice with and do experiments with (I've just scratched the surface, after all), especially one that's already so good at this!

You're very welcome! Have you seen Skywind's tutorial? Here's the URL:

I think my favourite psionic game is Guess The Fruit, which is telepathic. The group I played with limited the kinds of fruits so it could be a number or statistics game, but I would have liked to see what people could get out of sending out yellowness or tartness, and feeling free to get a banana confused with a lemon or orange, and being able to refine psi skills that way. There was also another game that was more "guess the shape and colour."

Thanks for the link! I think I might use that one to teach her how to to make a psi ball, it's definitely one of the better online guides I've seen. The sort of games we play either involve showing each other random images (like a tree or an octopus) and trying to guess what the other person sent, or sending sensations, like the taste of cake or a ticklish throat. We (mildly) torture each other occasionally ;)

Well Aeons gave good advice, I feel the need to just point out. Ask yourself, if this is due to both of your energy's colliding. Or two, how many times has this happened, in a day.

I did consider that. However, after lunch I had a different friend who also had no experience with psi balls try to expand one in the same way she had, but nothing happened. It could have been our energies in particular, I guess. We have been best friends for a long time.

Yeah she most likely has a knack for EM(short for Energy Manipulation) I do too.

I think your friend here might have some magical heritage...And are you sure your friend isn't Physic?

She started having prophetic dreams a few months back. Not about huge life-changing events, but things in her dreams sometimes happen the next day.
