Christianity

If you left Christianity because your doubts or the lack of Magick in it, there is a lot of things to consider

1. The Cabala is the Christian equivalent to the Kabbalah,

2. Old Christians practiced Tarot,

3. Christianity incorporates Angels but does have a bad view of demons and devils.

4. The lesser panishing ritual of the pentagram, has Christian prayer in it except it is vibrated in hebrew

Etc. Etc.

I also stated my belief, that various deities are the same or run parallel to one and other, they are just viewed in a different perspective.

1. Kemetic-Christian equivalency.

ISIS is the kemetic equivalent to MARIA (MARY)
HORUS is the kemetic equivalent to JESUS CHRIST
OSIRIS is the kemetic equivalent to JOSEPH (I'm disagree with this)
MA'AT is the kemetic equivalent to the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT.

Etc. Etc.
NOTE: whilst Christianity views GOD, JESUS AND SPIRIT to be three different people yet one person, kemeticsm does not have a shared view on this.

Heathen-Christian Equivalency.
NOTE: this one is highly disputable and all the following ,ay be false the following is just a similarity and not a complete connection.

ODIN-GOD
God is considered the father and Odin is the all-father, plus they are both leaders of their religion.

THOR-CHRIST
this came to me via deep meditation, they are both the son of the leader, and both seem a good fit.

Etc. Etc.

VODOU-CHRISTIAN equivalency
NOTE: this has huge similarities and use each others rituals, both seem connected deeply.

Christianity is a great religion. More so if you study and practice magic. It comes from judaism which has deep roots and has taken practices from alot of places and cultures in the middle east. Magic has always been with christianity. It has great and primal archtypal forces which can be seen in earlier polytheistic religions. Many great magicians come from this line of theism. Such as doctor John Dee, Franz Bardon, king solomon and Agrippa. The ignorance that people blame on christianity comes from the people and is justified through christianity. I read this once and though it held some truth " religion isnt insane, it just gives insane people a place to shine".

That's just the tip of the iceberg. I was raised in the Pentecostal church. Oils for anointing, casting out demons, incense and herbs, meditation, visualization. I learned most of my magick in church. Discovering Wicca simply gave me a bigger picture to look at.

Er, I would personally avoid trying to compare Christianity and Heathenry- as you're likely to offend several Heathens here.

Honestly, I love Christ. I love Christianity and the majority of what it teaches; "Love thy neighbor as thyself" "Judge Not" and all of its messages about love and forgiveness. It's Christians (only a select few of you) that see it as their duty to do the exact opposite of what Christ preaches.

If some heathens are offended when someone points out that there religion has some basic similarities with christianity then they are just as ignorant as christians who get mad when someone points out the similarities between christianity and some other religion.

Considering Christianity is the reason the Heathen faith has to be reconstructed and was lost- I think it's safe to say that there's cause for Heathens to not want to intermingle the two again.

Christianity was not the reason there faith was lost. Human flaws were. Christianity was just an excuse. A justification for mankinds prejudice

We all have our reasons for leaving a religion (I left Catholicism but close enough) and for me it wasn't any doubts or lack of magick it was the fact it made me hate myself

The whole Jesus and love for everyone thng is great with me but most of themdon't practice the whole love thy neighbor thing is why I'm not a big fan of it

My best friend is a Christian but she is extremely accepting of anybody so not all Christians are bad just the few who say all other religions are evil and gay people are evil

I don't dislike Christianity it just wasn't for me and I just didn't agree with a lot of stuff it beleived in and in my personal opinion I didn't like some of their teachings
