Your going to have to be more specific, you can not manipulate the wind or elements like your a character from the avatar or something. You can however work with them. So sorry to burst your bubble if you where looking to be an airbender.

I don't think what he was asking is for manipulation of that level... No need to get cynical.

That being said, getting the wind to blow in the direction you want isn't exactly difficult, but it does have ramifications on the environment as a whole, and is discouraged unless in the most extreme of circumstances.

I don't tend to perform spells very often of the traditional sort, instead communing with the spirits around me, and relying on their friendship to achieve the goal I seek.

For manipulating wind, I talk to the sylphs. They can slow the wind for me if I feel like my car is about to be blown off the road, or give a quick gust to help fly a kite with my younger cousins.

You could try talking with the sylphs, but don't be expecting their trust for some time. It took me ~2 years to earn the trust of only a handful of the sylphs I've met. However, in that time only 1 of them trusts me enough to follow me wherever I decide to travel.

I may not be the best source of information on this topic, so I wish you the best of luck on your search for knowledge

I am sorry if i came off a mean, I am just so used to the people that think they can break the laws of nature that it becomes second nature to suspect the fluffy side of a question when it is as general and non specific as this, so i am truly sorry if I offended you in any way.

I don't summon any elementals. I deal with the ones that are present in nature itself ;)

If I want to speak with the undines, I either take a walk in the rain, or go to a swimming pool.

If I want to speak with the sylphs, I go outside on a windy day.

If I want to speak with the salamanders, I sit by a raging bonfire.

If I want to speak with the gnomes, I take a walk through the woods, or leave an offering at the garden.

Granted, my methods are much deeper in the long run for making initial contact since I feel the need to show respect for their presence before I attempt to make contact. It's a fairly long and drawn-out process that I've come up with through trial and tribulation.

That's not to say sylphs don't have touchy tempers though... On more than one occasion they've gotten upset with me for what most people would consider minor or insignificant matters. (Like asking them if they are capable of performing an action, rather than just outright asking for it. From what I've been able to ascertain, it makes them think that you doubt their power).
