i have been able to clear my mind completely since i was a kid, but my meditations don't seem to do anything or go anywhere. once while i was meditating i saw some graphic vivid things and i was so stunned i finally saw something [though it was black and white attacks each getting worse, the only colour highlighted was red] i stopped meditating for a long time. i have been trying to meditate again, but i don't see anything, and stop after 10 minutes. what should i do? [it has nothing to do with clearing my mind of thought, i just can't focus i guess is the word]

just because you are meditating doesnt mean you will see anything. keep meditating. let your mind go free, as well as your imagination. it is much harder for adults to let their imagination free for some reason, i dont know why but it is what i have noticed. you will get there in time. it probably took time for you to get the visions in the first place so you will get there. just keep practicing.

^_^ thanks, actually, i have a rather overactive imagination [luckily i wasn't put on anything as a kid, but i was taken to a psychiatrist and that's what she said] my friends think it's nerves from what i saw, but i don't think so [maybe subconsciously] i'm just lacking an overall focus because once i do my basic stuff and i fall into a deeper meditative state, my eyes open and i have to start over.

your welcome. try and keep your eyes shut next time too. i used to have that problem but then i told myself that i wouldnt do that then i stopped.

While your meditating. Don't be a lust for results, it is same with scrying it took me an hour at my first time to see anything because I tried finding things and thinking I should find it. When I just gazed into it with no intention, within 15 minutes I saw a movie. So yeah, Meditation is about relaxing. Deeper meditation is about tapping to higher consciousness. Just let it go free and observe but don't watch.

patience , patience, is what i would reccommend here. dont loose heart it will come to you. people try to rush, why not just set aside 10 mins a day for a week and if nothing happens just keep going,if you start to feel more open shall i say then try to increase the time frame. my best wishes with it, but do stick with it, many blessings to you macus

You can also examine different methods of meditation.

There are various breathing techniques you can try, and if you wish you can also meditate using various energy visualization methods.

Sometimes changing things up kickstarts the whole thing.

thanks, i'll look into it, i've just recently started carrying my moonstone with my everywhere to help with my psychic abilities that seem blocked, so i'm hoping meditating with it will help.
