How to Use a Link
By:
Post # 1

This thread is actually simply a the same as the thread, "Public Service Annc'mnt.", but this thread is more proper.

I would have thought that by nowpeople would have guessed it;the reason that links do not work is because Spells of Magick, the website, has some program or line of code in it that breaks [almost] all links. The only things thatt youmust do are:

  • Copy the address, paste it into your address bar
  • Delete any and all spaces from the link
  • Push the enter/return key then and it will work!

The reason that this message is so important is because every time I turn around, people are saying, "the links don't work", or some variation of that whenever people post links in either the forums or personal mail messages. Hopefully this thread will be made a sticky or something like that. No where have I seen on the site where this information is found written or at least easily accesible to where pretty much everyone knows this!! This does not include links on the site itself, only in posts, spells, articles, and mail messages.

I do sincerely hope that this message helps people out and lessons the chance for useless frustration,

@SueLearning:

Is this what you meant by "proper text"?

Quick clarity note people:

"Public Service Annc'mnt." in "Welcome", has been removed and this is the same thing--identical.

I do think that this post should be made sticky and do not know why it has not been noticed and done so with.

Please note that this is also why it is a good idea to type a link in as opposed to copying and pasting it; for when you type an address in, you never put spaces anyway.
