What to use as a cauldron

I have a book called "Simple Wicca", and it says that you can find things at junk shops, flea markets, yard sales, etc to use as a cauldron, you don't necessarily have to buy one at a mystical shop. Any ideas on what I should be looking for, or any comments on what you specifically are using as one?
Thanks.

Really, you can use anything. The cauldron was just a cooking pot. If it serves the purpose of your magic, and leaves you with an impression that it is suited for your magic, then it will work.

When I first started out I used a coffee can. No joke. I still use them when I'm burning something. It keeps the wind from putting things out or blowing them away. If its going to get messy it goes in the coffee can.

My second cauldron was an oven safe bowl. It dipped down low and came up high. It worked really well. Just make sure they're oven safe, otherwise heat could cause them to explode and it could severely hurt you.

Now I use a pot. A plain cast iron pot that I use solely for magickal purposes. It took me a long time to find the right pot. Not all of them are cauldron material.

Many years ago, in the low rent back-to-back houses in England, there was a "set pot". This was a little brick built "furnace". Inset was an iron pot for boiling clothes. These became very much wanted items by antique dealers. Some would be polished, and plants kept in them. But a few, a very few, would be bought by witches; because they were usually iron "cauldrons". My witch teacher had one. Unfortunately it had a triangle shaped hole in the bottom. She used to light a fire in it!
