Sleep walking

I would like to know if anyone has experienced sleep walking while lucid dreaming or attempting to? With it being such an active sleep state I'm afraid to go walking in my dream only to actually walk around outside. I used to sleep walk when I was younger and I had a dream world to relax and play in. Makes me wonder if that could pick up again as I get back into lucid dreaming, because I really do not want that.

You're safe from that. I used to sleep walk too as a kid. I lucid dream once in a while and move around in that dream but never level my bed. Just once in a while maybe move arms and legs around but still in bed.
From what I've learned about both, sleep walking seems to occur is a state of deep non dreaming sleep and lucid dreaming happens in REM sleep where we dream the most.
If you think back, do you remember sleep walking? Or dreaming while it was happening? I don't know of any dreams that matched up with my sleep walking.

You can't sleep walk while (lucid) dreaming as SamanthaT says. When you are (lucid) dreaming you are in a state of Rapid Eye Movement (REM). In this state only your eyes move. Your body is unable to move at all. So you don't need to worry about sleep walk while (lucid) dreaming. But you can however sleep walk in some other states of your sleep.

Sleepwalking can occur during REM sleep, more often early in the morning, such as reentering REM sleep from deep-state sleep. Since sleepwalking more often happens during the deepest stages of sleep, its tendency tends to remain while the brain begins waking up.

Lucid dreams, in my own personal experience, are more likely to happen during the same stage: REM sleep after the deepest stages of sleep, towards morning.

That said, I am by no means an expert, nor have I ever experience sleepwalking. So I have no practical advice to give.
