On creating articles
By: / Beginner

I wanted to write an article here, but I wanted to copy it from something I wrote on a Google Docs.

Now, I did copy it and all, but when I pasted it on the editing window of the article, it pasted it with the pictures and also in a different format.

Does the SoM article writing allow for other formatting other than the ones appearing on the top bar? What about images? I mean, the whole font of the document changed and it's in Times New Roman I believe, which isn't the predeterminate font when writing from scratch.

Any tips or guidelines or anythign to help me understand the article writing system will be really appreciated :)

You cannot add pictures to articles, SoM's format doesn't work that way.

To get the format to work properly, I suggest copying and pasting your article into a Word Document first, that way you can fix any format errors there, and then copy and paste it as an article submission.

Thanks! I thought so about the pictures, but as the window accepted them, I started doubting. I hadn't thought of copying into a word doc. Thank you!

I usually write my articles as word doc and then copy and paste to SoM. It is correct that you can not put pics in to articles. If I need to put a pic in, I will add it to my pictures, make it public and provide a link in the article.
