Hi, a couple days ago my dad couldn't find his computer after searching for it everywhere. A couple days later the computer showed up sitting on the couch opened. I have suspected that my house has spirits in it but this incident has made me believe even more. What kinds of spirits take things and then return them?
I know poltergeists sometimes take things and make them show up in very visible places later and sometimes they never return them but thats rare. If you think it is a spirit which it could very well be you could try communicating with it but be careful if you do so. If you have any other questions message me back.
I have heard of houses being known to have activity thanks to fae of one sort or another, and them being responsible for odd occurrences. But usually when it comes to things disappearing they tend to be smaller objects. For example I lived in a house one summer where no one there could have more than two pairs of shoes. if you did, within a day one shoe would go missing, making the extra pair useless. then as soon as you found that shoe and got it back, a different one would disappear. Something like a Laptop I would imagine to be too big or not interesting enough to 'borrow' and play with.
A quick way to detect who did it, check the internet browser history and see what sorts of sites had been visited. Match it to the habits of the people who live there it might shed some light.
If it was a poltergeist he should've have noticed it. Poltergeist literally means loud ghost. They are known for making a mess and making sure the person knows they are there.
As stated above you should use logic before jumping in to the supernatural, etc..
If everything has been ruled out and you think it is indeed a spirit, they are making sure you notice them or pranking you. It's nothing you should be concerned about. You could cleanse your home which should make it stop.
