I apologize if this is the inappropriate place to post, but I am working on my Book of Shadows and am having a hard time thinking of spells to actually… create. I have one idea so far, but I would also like to get more ideas! Please suggest some spells for me to make. Thank you!

I'd start with spells that you could see yourself using most often. Do you need luck spells, protection, love?

I would suggest sitting down and make a list of the things you think you may need, and then go from there.

Don't forget that the book doesn't have to only have spells. it is a magical journal as well. You can make lists of herbs you have used and their uses, Names, preferences, and offerings of different beings you have worked with, what they represent, and their spheres of influence. Note in times of the day or year when you feel a deeper connection to your goals, times of power, numerology tidbits, tools and symbols you have discovered you resonate with, and that sort of thing.

That way even if you don't have a specific spell, you have a place of reference for things you might later use in a spell you want to build as well.

Heck even meaningful poetry or statements that resonate with you. Meaningful axioms or thoughts, and significant personal events are also useful to keep.

In mine, I have a list of each chakra and its color and meaning because I have felt the need to do a lot of cleansing lately. I also have an empowerment spell. It's more of a mantra these days really, but it helps me to feel that I fit in my skin. It seems to give me strength.
I'm not sure what kind of things you practice, but some basic things like those are helpful to a lot of people. I hope this helped! Best of luck to you
