It is believed that there are spirits who watch over the four compass points, known as watch towers of the North, South,East,West.
Satan is the old description of the opposite to Good---Bad or Evil. In Biblical times it became the name of the Devil. *The Evil One".
In one sense, all spirits are sky spirits. Some would say that the main sky spirit is the Sun; or The Creator. In other words,God!

There are as many beliefs about spirits as there are about Gods and Goddesses.

1: The Watchtowers were originally a concept imparted to John Dee and Edward Kelly while they were recieveing the information on Enochian magic from their angelic sources. The Watchtowers are located in the Aethers that surround the physical world at each of the four quarters. They are manned by beings called Watchers, sometimes referred to as angels but often having very different characteristics from angels. There is one in each quarter. The concept of the Watchtowers was taught in the Golden Dawn as part of the adept training of the second order, which is where Crowley was exposed to it. It is logical to assume that Gardner got it from Crowley and it was then made more mainstream.

2: Beats me. Can you be more specific?

3: Is there even a Satan? If so, then there is probably only one, Although other entities may use the name or similar names. There are many Stevies in the world, but only one SRV. :)
