*This question is not related to magick*

Considering the fact this is not a dating site, why do people feel the need to put their sexual orientation and relationship status in their bios? I've seen countless that claim they are single and looking, and to message them.

Blessed Be.

Melanie, I have actually had someone tell me that my lips were seducing them, which is why I don't use a picture of myself as a profile picture.

I mean, it's one thing talking about your marriage, but the flirting is ridiculous!

This is an open forum so any member can post on it,so long as they stick to the rules. But all members are perfectly at liberty to ignore them. I have had young women "flirt" with me on this site; and in three weeks time I will be 83! How's that for a laugh?

I really don't understand it, maybe they aren't having much luck on dating sites. I find it a bit irritating too because it implies that I should care. Not a huge deal though.

I totally agree with you Lily! But in the end, anyone is able to join this site. Whether they came here to actually learn, or just to make friends and flirt, no one can stop that.

Members may post what ever they wish on their bio's even if someone doesn't get it, as long as it follows the rules. There isn't much people can do, it's their profile, asking us why someone else does something is like asking us what someone we don't know is doing.

I think we should keep in mind a lot of members are young and to them their orientation and relationship status are important aspects of their character. Also, teenage hormones can void someone of all sense of occasion.

Indeed, many have yet to learn how to control themselves, how to handle the emotions and how to comprehend what their actions can do, and how they insult/annoy people.
