Warning Scam.

I recieved mail from a member named "bankysmasher" They are trying to scam people out of money.

This is the message:

"I am a student who just gained admission into a University and I we took our first paper in our first semester exams but I was not allowed to write because I have not paid my school fees. I have searched for help and no one seams to be coming so I found out about this site and decided to come to you for help. Please help me fulfil my dream and I will be a fruitful member and a committed one. ?I am in search of 300 thousand naira and if you help me I will be very grateful"

Please report it to the moderators. Don't delete the messages either so they can read them.

Asking for money from members is a violation of the Terms of Service on this site. Should you get such requests this is what you need to do: Save the message in your default folder, don't delete it. Then send an e-mail to the Site Administrator, Petrarca, and tell him what the problem is. He can then look at the actual message and take the appropriate action.

Mods cannot see the messages in your e-mail box. And we aren't supposed to act on messages that are posted such as this one is. This prevents members who want to pick on another member from sending us false messages and a person being wrongly gagged. (I'm not saying that's what you're doing, but I think you see why we do it this way.)

And as a warning to everyone here on SOM. Never, ever send money to someone who is begging for money here on SOM.
