Hey, I'm Wiccan and I just wrote a story today that kind of goes along with a Pagan theme. I just wanted to know what people thought about it and I found it appropriate to post it here. Here it is:
A young man went walking down an old, dirt road. He had his head down, hair blocking his eyes from seeing the beauty if the night, and his hands in his pockets, warm, but without feeling. He wasn't sure what, but something made him stop in his tracks and look up. Before him, he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He looked around him then looked back at her, confused.
"What's a lovely lady like yourself doing out here all alone at night? It can be quite dangerous for a young girl such as yourself."
She simply smiled and said, "I am in no danger. I do not fear the dark."
Puzzled even more by her, he asked, "Who are you?"
"I am God," was the reply, soft, simple, matter of fact.
"I thought God was supposed to be a Man."
"I come to you in whatever form you want to See me as, whatever form you need to See."
"Why are you here?"
"To show you the Truth."
"Am I supposed to believe in you?"
She gave out a small laugh, her eyes shining like the stars. "You are not required to believe in me; nobody is. It is your choice. You can choose to believe or not; but, if you don't believe, you may never consciously search for me."
"Why is it important that I know this stuff?"
"Because you are at a crossroads."
He looked around him and, sure enough, he had stopped at a four way intersection in the road. She laughed at him, causing him to ask, "What?"
"I did not mean a crossroads in the literal sense. I meant you have come to a point in your life where you will have to make a decision. Will you spread the Truth and Love and Wisdom, or will you stand idly by?"
Before he could answer, she disappeared. And he knew what he had to do.
