Elementalist

Hey everyone! I'm newer to magick and only know how to move energy to parts of the body. I want to become an elementalist (I know I can't split earth or make fire appear in my hand like in Avatar and stuff). Can someone please recommend what I should start learning first? Thanks in advance!

Im assuming you mean you want to work with element.
Well,first things first.
Despite what many members on this site say,there is no 'having an element'.Alot may say ''My element is fire!!''.This is usually just them saying what element they like the most.
In reality,you should attune to all of the elements.
Realize how your body is elements.You are grounded to the earth,you are breathing the air,you drink water,your heart is warm,like fire.
Now,along with workings.
On your altar,have representations of the elements.This is fairly easy,and can be achieved with even household items.
How you work with the elements in spells is up to you.Say you were doing a protection spell,you might use a candle to represent fire,or you might use dirt to represent earth.It all depends on what element you thought represented protection.
