The word "witchcraft" is really European. But it has many names in all parts of the world. Many, who practise witchcraft, will also "worship" or "Honour" one or more Deities.
However, witchcraft, of itself, has no God or Goddess. There is nothing supernatural about witchcraft. It is practised in many religions, or no religion at all!
I have been a witch for well over 70 years, and have always been an Atheist.

1. they are deities from Wicca. it's a long explanation, but basically they are aspects of our world [the Goddess is seen as the moon, the God as the sun for example] they watch over us, and if needed [and we ask] they can help us. they are like our parents. they aren't there to make our lives perfect, just to help when times are tough. we should strive to grow close with them. [as we should with any patron deity we might follow]

2. witchcraft is a broad topic as well. witchcraft can be and is coupled with religions, but strictly speaking it does not have a god and goddess. while some might couple their witchcraft with Egyptian or Celtic gods [for example] there are plenty of Atheist who study witchcraft. it's seen more as a science than a mystical harry potter-esk magic show.

If you believe in,and deal in, magic, then you are a witch. It matters not what Deity you also believe in.

The view differs for different people as to what Witchcraft actually is because some view it as anything magick related and others recognize specific traditions related to Witchcraft. I personally find that certain European traditions are Witchcraft, while others are definitely not and a lot of the mix up from my perspective comes from times when everything outside of what was accepted by the Church was labeled as Witchcraft.

I would also like to note that Witchcraft is not the same as Wicca and that one can be either or both if they so choose to follow said paths.

'witch' is just a title. you could follow Wicca and call yourself 'lord fuzzy pants' what matters is your studies/knowledge not your title. most people in the 'Pagan' umbrella call themselves 'witches' i jump back and forth between 'Wiccan' and 'Witch' it means basically the same thing. the old adage is 'all Wiccans are Witches, but not all Witches are Wiccans.' confusing i know.
