Homemade Incense

I recently have been extremely interested in homemade "raw" Incense , and I am curious what others are working with. Rarely in my workings will I follow a recipe but even more rarely will I not ask others their opinions and habits, especially in topics I feel versed in.(sounds backwards I know). So how many herbs at a time would you say your most complex incense(for magikal or scent) was? also what 3 herbs do you think you use the most(for scent alone)?

As this is an art I will be starting on my birthday this year(a habit I have of starting new magik every year on my bday, often asking for the supplies as presents) I am curious to see what everyone does.

Hello Moonbeam123!

I noticed that no one had relplied to your inquiry. Though I do not make incense often, I found this article very helpful.

I hope this helps, Bastet bless your path!

Personally I love making my own incense though I still need practice. I use rosemary a lot and sage. I love peperment though it tends to over power, so a lot of times I use tea tree oil.
I think my most complex one was the goddess and I use about 5 different herbs. It didn't turn out that great though. So I think I may have to revise it a bit.
