I am new and openminded

I have tried spells in the past of both white and black magic, and all of the spells have worked but with time. I am new to magic and have been told by many people I have strong power and great will. I would love for someone to keep me under their wing til i kearn all i need to know to stand on my own with experience. I hope to get responses from people who can give me advice for beginners.

Look into basics- Candles, colours, Herbs, Meditation, chakras, grounding etc.

Great starts perhaps look into a coven as well if you think it is fitting at least.

In magic colors often are associated with certain aspects or qualities which can be utilized in spells and rituals. Green can represent fertility, wealth, and luck. Red could represent love, passion, and protection, etc.

Some other things that you might wish to work on, if you haven't done so already, are basic energy work and lunar timing. However, the basic principles and concepts of magic are up to you as to what you actually study and utilize.

If you have the time I would recommend reading the following books:

The Witch Book: The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft, Wicca, and Neo-Paganism. - Written by Raymond Buckland.

Herb Magic for Beginners: Down-to-Earth Enchantments ~ Written by Ellen Dugan

Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner. ~ Written by Scott Cunningham.

Living Wicca: A Further Guide for the Solitary Practitioner ~ Written by Scott Cunningham.

They have information on the basics of magic, the sabbats, esbats, etc.

Look into basics. There are a lot of good books out there to read up on if you are okay with being solitary. There are a lot of books out there for beginners. I'd look up reviews online though. (I've found amazon to be helpful).
