What is a Fairy?

Lately I've been hearing many witches talking about 'fairies'. I'm not sure sure what they mean when talking about fairies. Can something give me further explanation on how they relate to the craft? and what exactly are they?

"Fairies" or Faeries are nature spirits. They help to replenish nature (hence why they're nature spirits in general). They usually are in their own elements: Fire Faerie group, Water Faerie group, Earth Faerie group, and the Air Faerie group. They can be friendly, but if conjured for no or unnessecary reasons they can be stubborn and can get back at you in a sense. All Faeries enjoy thyme, and also honey and possibly milk, so note those are good offerings. They can be helpful in magickal workings obviously. That's my summarized version of the Fae folk.

Would they be inter-plain beings or Earthly?

Do you mean astral plane? They are spirits on the astral plane but can be conjured to Earth IN SPIRIT FORM ONLY. Many newcomers become mistaken about that part.

Oh okay that makes sense. By Inter-plain I meant able to wander through different plains (However many there are)
