Why, I'm pretty sure that depends on how you're going to use it. Are there any certain things your using it for?

Blessed be, deary.

Purification and cleansing. I've had a rash of bad luck and according to hoodoo it's the best karma cleaner. But then again they don't believe in karma. So it's like a "sin" cleaner. I tried rosemary and black pepper as a substitute for rue, and basil for happiness. I used rosemary as a substitute for hyssop because it had everything else except anointing. So...

Well, hyssop is often combined with sage, as they have similar properties, so you could try that. I would recommend lavender, but you say you don't have any do that's a no. Rosemary is said to be a good substitute for everything, so you could try that.

Hope this helps and blessed be.

White sage, Iris, Lemon, Pine, Sandalwood. Out of those, personally i'd either use sandalwood or lemon.

Magically speaking I would I make a mojo bag or sachet for cleansing and purification with the following list of herbs:

  • Honeysuckle
  • Hibiscus
  • Lemon Balm (Melissa)
  • Jasmine
  • Patchouli Powder
  • Bay Leaf
  • Fenugreek
  • Damiana
  • White Willow Bark
  • witchgrass

My personal recipe for a sachet of this type is to mix the following herbs together: Honeysuckle, Hibiscus, Jasmine, 1 bay leaf, and lemon balm. A pinch or two of each should suffice and then I add my favorite power stone for myself which is amethyst and I also add a small piece of black tourmaline to top it off. then I carry around the sachet with me as needed.

Blessings and I hope this helps,
