Hmm I think I've heard this story before was it he got dared to kiss a boy and the rumour spread around his school. But I feel sorry for him and will to light a white candle for him and others in his situation. RIP and may his soul rest in heaven and the pain for his family shine to the light of hope. I hope the angels protect the victims of bullying and guide them to a future bright with a destiny of success

sorry to hear that. i wish people will wake up and do something about this problem. too bad it'll take effort and most people who could do something to solve it [parents/school board officials/government] are too busy or don't want to spend the time/money to fix it correctly. i hope this changes soon, i don't get why in less than 10 years since i left school bullying has gotten so extreme. i was bullied, my friends were bullied [badly] but never to the extreme some people today are.

So sad. The school board needs to install cameras EVERYWHERE! Too many poor teens dying.

I will most definitely remember them. But I don't get why gays get bullied. They're not diffrent, they're unique. Gays rock! Am I right? No one needs to answer because I know I'm right. :)

lol, you are correct Neko. it's just an old way of thinking people don't want to let go. humans are all the same, we all need the same things to live. some people are just closed minded. i'm not gay, but i was in the gay-straight alliance at my school, one of the major reasons i and a lot of my friends were bullied. [also because we were different] i'll never forget this one time in the 10th grade. my friend for world AIDS day organized a peaceful protest. we went 24 hours without speaking, to bring attention to how people who are gay are silent. the whole day at school, people tried to make us speak, even during class students would say things to make me snap at them. i'll never forget lunch though, we all sat together, because the only people who participated were our friends [i had a lot of friends in high school, i'd say 30 joined in] while we were eating we were surrounded by kids making comments, and asking us dumb questions. they never laid a finger on us, but it was an entire day of people yelling.

and trust me, i have many more much worse stories. i just love that one because not one of us spoke, we held our heads high though it all and stuck together. i know there's many who can't say they had someone beside them through the rough times, but i had my friends, and they had me, so we made it through.

as for surveillance everywhere, i disagree. yes in the halls and playground, but what needs to be done is, more teachers, smaller classrooms, and parents need to monitor their children online and TALK to them. society is so rushed and selfish people don't stop to figure out what's wrong, that's why. i'm shocked about a lot of stories/statistics/media today. it is said that being a kid is getting less and less and they're growing up too fast, it seems once they're in school [4-5] they're into teen media. personally, that's outside influences since they don't get enough guidance at home. i understands parents work long hours so the kids might come home at 3 and the parent at 5. for those 2 hours, get a baby sitter or something. my mom use to get our neighbour's middle child to come over and help us with homework [watch us actually lol] for 3 hours, then she left and mom got home not long after that. granted this was before facebook, even before youtube. same goes for tv today, as a kid, while i remember spending most of my time outside, i did spend hours watching tv. as a kid i loved Wishbone, The Simpsons and Rugrats [among others] what's on tv now? Toddlers in Tiara's and live action shows for kids. not trying to say my generation had it better [We got Bill Nye but also had Captain Planet and slapped on morals to every show lol... then again MLP does that too]

the point is, we're relying too much on technology, and it's a bad thing. kids shouldn't be on the internet without supervision until they're old enough, same goes for tv. and in school, the teacher has too much to do, so they can't know Billy and see he's upset by something, and know that Timmy is picking on students. they're there to hand out papers and correct answers. i know some people will say teachers are to teach not parent, but they're with the kid as much, maybe even more, than the parent, you don't think knowing the child a little would be beneficial? sadly, i have low hopes the problem will be correctly fixed, because to fix it correctly requires money, and people would much rather throw money at stupid things than actually fixing a problem when a bandage is far cheaper.
