Extremely Low breath rate

when i meditate i always focus on the darkness of my eyelids and my breathing, i leave the breathing to the body i.e. i will not breath forcibly, but the problem is that my breath rate is dropping minute by minute and at one stage it is as slow as just 2-3 times per minute some times it even drops to 3 breaths per 2 minutes, on average a normal person breaths atleast 10-18 times per minute but mine is too slow while meditation, is it dangerous to me?

The purpose of meditation is to slow our breathing down although normally breathing is around fifteen to eighteen cycles per minute,Really good "meditative" breathing could be as low as three cycles per minute. So I guess you've got "meditative breathing" spot on!
The slower the breath the more oxygen our body takes in which is better for our health and well being, so as Far as I'm aware no its not dangerous to you. You just must be very good at meditative breathing.
