Not Exactly New

I'll make this brief.

To put it simply, I've been on this site for a long time. But I took a break from posting for quite a time (years, perhaps). Needless to say that when I came back, I couldn't remember my username or password. So I just made a new account. The only thing I really miss about my old account is the fact that I was ranked on that one... I was a Beginner, I believe.

But all that aside, hello again. I'm hoping the number of people coming here to ask about fluff has gone down at least a little. I remember you guys have always had issues with people constantly asking how to be a werewolf, or a vampire, or a mermaid, or (insert mythical creature here). It was rather bothersome always having to answer the same thing.

Oh, and and by the by, I'm having some issues with my profile picture. I uploaded one image for my profile picture, but decided I wanted to use another one. But when I tried to change it, the picture wouldn't change. It changed the dimensions slightly, but it wouldn't actually change the image. Anybody know how to fix this issue? I'd appreciate the help.

Try holding Control and R at the same time. Also, welcome back to SoM.

I'm afraid your recommendation did nothing at all. Perhaps if I just give it time, it will update properly. I think I remember the profile image changing system being a little finicky in that sense.

I also had a problem with photos, both for my album and for my profile. They would look like they were uploading, and I would receive a message from the SoM site and see a 'percentage countdown', so to speak, and then nothing would be uploaded. I solved this by resizing the pictures using a free app I found in the Android Playstore. I had to make them half of the original size or smaller, and it worked. The photos still look great when I select them for viewing, so the process does not change the photo quality. Hopefully this will work for you, too.

No need for that. It appears the image just needed time to update for whatever reason. But thanks anyway for the suggestion.
