Covens, which to join
By:
Hello, I just signed up to the forum's today because I am like the only Wicca in my neighborhood or school and that can get to be both boring, and lonely. So I was wondering if I should join a coven here on the site and if I did which one I would join. I don't usually do this sort of stuff as I try to avoid having other people find out that, I cast spells and stuff for obvious reasons.

Read the coven profiles on the groups page, get to know people through the chatter or forum. When you find people you get along with see what covens they are in. Look at the profile of the coven, if you like it and some of the members apply to that coven.

Im 15 and im doing blood sigil magick, they are teenagers, not kids anymore. And they are here to learn more and the earlier they learn that shapeshifting and teleportation is impossible, the better it will be. I know i was here since 13 and i believed in all sorts of fantasy stuff, but after a few weeks, i understand why it is impossible

Ostarawicca, you have the wrong idea about this site. There is no law that prevents an adult from answering questions from a child. The law is that it is illegal to teach "religion" to a child without the parent's consent.
Moderators keep a close watch on anyone behaving against the site rules.
I get many letters from very wise, and level-headed, 13-year-olds;as well as letters from adult idiots!
And by the way, if you don't like the covens on this site why are you a member of one?

Why are you asking? If you really wanna know its beacuse i want they shall understand what Witch is. Yes its a law. If a high priestess dosent follow that law. Then it means that high priestess is bad.

Maybe you just need a friend who understands your path? Covens online or not are not for everyone and where definetly not for me. I like working alone, But love having a few people in my circle I can confide an understand the path I am on. I wish you the best of luck on our journey!

Jumping in here.

If we're discussing legalities it also depends very much on what country you're living in. The US (and UK from memory) are quite serious regarding the control of religious instruction to persons under 18 years of age. Here in Australia, however, we don't have any laws restricting it to age, it is simply common for children to learn the religion of their family.

Also, when we're looking at online communities and groups such as here on SoM, both minors and adults enter into a binding terms of service, which (if written correctly) indemnify the provider against such laws as the user has knowingly used the service with intent to learn.

So that's the legal side of it. ) Although it may be the legal precedence in one country, it mightn't be in another.

Hi Kevreel,

I am the Priestess of Magical Knights here on this site. I've been a practicing Wiccan for some 35 years and a High Priestess of real-life covens since 1996. Although Magical Knights is not specifically Wiccan you might find it a good place to get some answers to questions on Wicca that you might have.
