The Art Of Magic In The Art of Music

Here is a question.

I have been on the watch list looking and scrolling and reading and sometimes practicing magic on a diffrent way, one good topic I have not seen is the art of magic with the art of music, some time ago I was reading an article somewhere and recalled that when magic is performed with music a state of the art result can be achieved, so, if this true which I think it might be, how can one evolve one of these spectrums in being used to introduce new types of hyper spells... The thing is when music plays a role, ones mind the creation of the spell works out better. True or false?

Magic is changing one or more things into something different. The difference can be in material things. It can be in attitude, in the immediate environment,in the mood of the person performing magic.
Magic, in fact, can change your life!
Now if a group of musicians are just "tuning up" they only make a lot of harsh sounds. But when those instruments all play together in harmony, all those harsh sounds "change" into something else--the wonderful sound of music! and that, my friends, is magic!

Whether or not music helps a spell, I don't know. Many people think it does help spells. Many rituals and ceremonies are performed to music. Sometimes very simple music, such as a flute, or a drum.

I have thought of thos before, incorporating magick into other things you love doing such as drawimg/painting or music. Like writing a song with magickal intentions or even making paints, a brush, or your own instrument that were infused with your magickal energy

Yes,indeed! Anything done to music is always a help. Don't forget, chanting is "singing", and is a form of music. Many people chant their spells.

Throughout my years of studying and practicing, incorporating music within the magickal practice is actually quite ancient. The Tibeteans (sp?) use singing bowls, which act as a sort of bell when meditating, Indian tribes used to drumming and rattles to achieve a certain state of mind. The main purpose was to reach an "beta" mind state that would be extremely effective in aiding them into bringing out an energy within themselves.

Interesting posts sofar, I like it. Keep them rolling in...

Here is a point which I tested. I took a normal love spell and performed it to a loving way, chanting predicting, concentrating the full package but it was not feeling asif it was full, so I added a few tones to it, the results: fuller epic results with more feeling. So I think music does have a influence to magic..

I have long thought music has a place in magic, anything which is created by the practitioner themselves is connected to their being in an intimate way. If this creation was developed with intent and arises out of the unconscious you potentially have a powerful tool in my opinion.

Music is used in many group rituals, Crowley's rites of Eleusis are one example, others include the sabbat celebrations of the various sects of British derived witchcraft.

Personally my creative element lies in writing, I write poetry to include in my personal rituals, I am not a person who believes every spell should rhyme, however, a nice rhythm, the perfect energy, the ability to manipulate the right sounds with the right associations e.g. harsh sounds for projective forces, soft sounds for a subtle effect, and the inclusion of specific imagery and metaphor all have their place in ritual.

I think the process must be the same for music, certain sounds bring to mind certain emotions, certain thoughts. The minor chords generally bring up sadness, thoughtfulness etc., the major chords often bring up light-hearted feelings and feelings of joy. The temp can effect the speed, the rhythms and mental states of a practitioner.

Nice.. Exactly my point.

For every way there is a way. But use the wrong tune and it might be a failure. Everything must be precise.
