Jupiter/Saturn herbs

Hey all,

So I'm writing a binding spell to bind a spendthrift's, or someone who spends money extravagantly and impulsively, spending impulses. I have the majority of the spell already worked out, I just need help with the herb portion of my spell.

Which are some herbs you recommend working with that are both Jupiter- and/or Saturn-ruled? For instance, I know that both Burdock root and Fuminary are herbs ruled by both planets, but I cannot use them because I don't have access to them here in SoCal.

Thanks so much guys. I appreciate it.

It depends exactly how you were planning to use the herbs. I know that a small pouch of sage is supposed to be able to encourage wisdom and help people discern things better, so sage might work. (You also should be able to find sage in any supermarket). However, I'm not entirely sure what you had in mind so that might not be what you're looking for.

For this spell, I think the best candidate would be cloves. They are probably one of the most common herbs used for monetary spells and are ruled by Jupiter. Another bonus is that they are also quite useful in essential oil form too. If you decide not to go with cloves, here are a few other options for each planet:

Jupiter

  • Anise
  • Sage
  • Honeysuckle
  • Hyssop
  • Nutmeg
  • Dandelion
  • Sarsparilla

Saturn

  • Bistort
  • Beech
  • Cypress
  • Horsetail
  • Mimosa
  • Fleawort
  • Oakmoss

Hope this is helpful.
