Falling in Dreams

Has anyone else had a dream that they fell and then sorta fell in their bed? I lay down and meditate a while before I go to bed and I place a gem on myself for it's energies (I used amethyst last night) and I accidentally fell asleep last night. I had a small dream that I tripped, and then I fell down into my bed. The "impact" made the amethyst fall off of me. I just find it kind of strange that I tripped and went forward in my dream, but then I fell down into my bed.

well falling is a very common type of dream, it goes with your insecurities in your waking life. if you're afraid of failure in some form, falling in a dream is tapping into said fear. but this could of also been a muscle spasm. sometimes your whole body will 'jump' because your muscle are relaxing them suddenly jolt. it happens to me sometimes. it depends on the whole dream as to why [you could of also been tossing in your sleep] but in answer to your question its common, and if it was particularly intense you could of tossed.
