My Methods for Casting
By:

We all have our methods for spell casting and it varies between person, which is known. I would like to share some of my methods for casting and encourage all whom want to share to put their thoughts down.

To begin I cast my circle. While circle casting is not always necessary in doing spell work, for longer spells that I do, I circle cast. When I do, I usually say a little rite for protection as I am performing the spell. I invoke the elements, and again, some do not work with the elements and will invoke who or what they wish to invoke or do not invoke at all. When I am done with this I thank the elements for their help and open the circle once more.

Sometimes when I am on the go and need... for example, a protection spell if I am feeling a bit unsafe, I mutter the spell to myself, and say the spell in my mind. This could be a good tip for anyone who is afraid of anyone to hear them as they say a spell.

I've never really cast a circle until recently. After years of dabbling and experimenting, I never learned the significance of a circle. However, maybe its just me, when I finally did start casting circles for working it felt like there as a block between me and what I was attempting to do. Prior to not casting, I never had much of an issue with the success of a spell I created. I'm starting to think maybe I'm stretching myself too thin or putting too much energy in the wrong places at the wrong time.

I usaully visualize everything before the spell for i can get into my emotions and feelings.I do that for about 15mins or longer. Then i get to the magick.I sometimes drink a lot of water because im going to be letting a lot of energy out.Sometimes i mediate for i can be in the right mindset.
