After doing spells my vision gets very blurry and sensitive to light and a migraine in the 3rd eye area follows afterwards. Why does this happen?

Are you sure you mean migraine, and not just a headache? Migraine is a very serious illness. My ex-wife, and my three daughters all suffer from migraine. If you have that, then you need professional medical help.

"Although migraine headaches are excruciating, they are seldom life threatening. They are harmful to a person's quality of life, however, and sometimes cause depression and/oranxietydisorders, especially if the headaches are uncontrolled by medication or other therapies"

It sounds like you may be straining yourself too much. Blurry vision and light sensitivity is a common sign of a migraine, and as Brysing said, they can be serious, but often times are not. They are caused by expanding blood vessels, like any headache. Things that cause migrains are stress, excessive light, and excessive sounds if you are prone to them. Many people have gotten what would be considered a migraine headache before, but for some it is chronic and has to be dealt with on an almost daily basis (which causes a lot of problems if it is chronic).

Anyways, I would try relaxing more while spell casting. If the migraines keep up, I would suggest going to a doctor as they can be a sign for a more serious health problem.

A headache just hurts, a migraine can make you sensitive to light/sound/smell, have nausea, vertigo, neck and eye pain, the list goes on. Plus migraines can last a few days while a headache can last a few hours. My mom and grandmother suffer from migraines and I have had a couple, there is a difference. Speak with your doctor.

Magickally, I think you're draining your body of energy and not using the energy around you. Study and do some energy work [charge, ground, center] before casting more spells. You might also have a blocked chakra, try balancing them from the root to crown.

It sounds like you may be hyperventilating. Try focusing on breath. Learn to breathe right and well.
