I did exactly what the spell instructions told me to do. I even manipulated energy before I did it, then said the words for he spells only stumbling once(but then repeating it clearly). Well the spell worked only giving me bad luck. First I lose my phone, then my family and I are lost on the road etc. Can someone tell me why this happened?(and yes I admit I am a beginner and can use some guidance with beginner spells, energy manipulation, meditation, etc.
I'm going with you either did something wrong or the spell it self was not what it was suppose to be. Regardless, it may be good to do a cleansing or banishing.
Everything happens for a reason and if you were not specific enough about what you wanted then its up to the universe to decide what luck will help you the most in the long run. I.e. Overcoming obstacles together or something like that. But seriously, maybe it was because you didnt neccessarily need luck and were just casting that spell to practice.

What was the spell? Just because it's a spell doesn't make it a good spell, especially if you found it on the internet. Magick is a lot like science in the fact that every variable counts. Everyone's situation is different and therefore variables are never constant from person to person. It takes knowledge, wisdom, and experience to get the sense of what is best for the given situation. If you are going to use spells you find, I suggest that, at the very least, until you have enough knowledge to identify well written spells from poorly made ones, that you use the spells of noteworthy published authors that write specifically for beginnners, like Scott Cunningham.
There are some spells that dont have much to them that are effective. Some people are more adept at figuring out which ones are worth trying. Just a suggestion but you may want to stick to spells reccomended by other more knowledgable site members for your needs, that way you know the feel of working spells, while still leaving time to work on spells you pick out on your own.
