Ingredients for potions

I've found many items useful in creating elixirs and potions, such as blood, gems, bone and herbs. I was hoping to get more ideas for items that I could put to use in my potions and maybe some potions too!

Pick up an herb book and you will get tons of ideas! It is hard to suggest something unless we know what you are trying to do with your potion. Everything has its own uses :)

it depends on the potion you plan on making. you can use urine for a binding or protection [i've heard both] to make it really strong, a woman's urine while she's menstruating.

i heard of an old korean potion [which i wouldn't do] where you take a piece of rock [best if it's from a holy statue] and grind it into powder, mix it with water and drink it. it's a type of fertility potion. old wives tale if you ask me, but it's neat to know.

it can be used like any bodily fluid [oh, i forgot to mention spit] urine can be used in binding the person, but protection as well if memory serves.
