Discrimination.

Well I've just left an egroup, if anyone wishes to know which it was they may ask. On to the point, I recommended this site when someone asked about covens they were inquiring about Gardenirian Wicca I think, anyway I told them that there were several covens there with hundreds of members they maybe would find some answers here, I got a reply from one of the list members that was nothing short of discrimination, they generally believe the site to be no more than teenagers who give themselves a title of HP or HPS, of vampire loving goths, and basically a site that wasn't worthy of any interest, they had apparently been kicked off here, which I responded I'm not surprised with that attitude. Why oh why are some branches of Wicca like that, I mean to start with they are studying Brittish Traditional Wicca, which is ok they don't live here in Brittain but I'm sure that doesn't matter. I to be honest was horrified that these people firstly don't accept teenagers, discriminate against teenagers and feel that teenagers are not knowledgeable on Witchcraft. I'm not a teenager, but I was still very offended by it. Sorry if my post offended anyone, just had to get that off my chest.

There are many teens on here, some quite knowledgeable, but that's no reason to discriminate. I agree, I would have been angry about it too.

I've actually seen nothing here which suggests that the site or its members discriminate by age. Granted, most of the liars and trouble-makers are teens, but that group is itself a minority of our teen population.

If that person was banned it is because he or she broke the rules. And while the rules are strictly enforced it's not like following them is somehow difficult. Don't lie, don't plagiarize, don't write in all caps, don't stretch out words (turning "this" into "thiiisss"), etc.

I don't care how old they are - if they can't handle that then they've got some sort of maturity problem.

Waving fingers at curious kids is quite the curious activity for people who actively follow a man who claims to have discovered a secret grimoire (oops, book of shadows) that wholly detailed all of the ancient celt's magical practices in the 20th century. The pagan's Mormon.

I may be a teen, and yes I do a agree some do put us down. But that's life, if I was ignorant I'd say I know it all but do I no, I know what I've learned and read. Some teens just find they need a path of there own to follow. I'm sure we all remember school, I being a junior now think I'm understanding something. It takes a small group of people to get a whole group labeled, but it takes the whole group to get the label off.

No not discrimination at this site, it was from someone who'd been banned from here. I didn't open my morning mail yet, they put me off reading to be honest, as I stuck up for this site etc, I've been receiving dribble from the mods of the list who'd discriminated against teens, this site etc ever since. They make me laugh, they apparently abide by this law of three, yet are bitter and twisted in an attitude. Hyrocrites I'd call them, hypocritical bigots!

Thing is, we are all teens at one stage in our life, and teens become a future us. The only excuse they could give on why they don't accept teens, was because they drink ale skyclad, well I'm sure you teens don't do that do you?? Haha, apprently it's also because they have adult conversation, well I'm sure you 18 year olds aren't adult yet are you. When it came down to it, it was just their sad little selves that didn't accept and that discriminated, it's great to tear their arguments down.

In my experience 60% of the people in covens these days who call themselves HP or HPS have never actually put forth the work or effort to have earned the title. Then again it is just a title. Some of the people I have learned from regarding martial arts who are from the east and practice eastern traditions are fasanated by the west's infatuation with belts. To them they are good for nothing but to hold up your pants. I think the same rule applies here. As far as dogging teens I think that mabey they are jealous that a Youngster perhaps knows more then they do and is more serious about their craft. Then again I have also had a little experience with some of these sites. It is amazing that they want you to pay for shoddy training by shoddly trained goofs. I will take this place any day of the week.
