Oils with the skin!

hello peepz its moonrays again! okey dokey, so the topic is Magickal Oils and how they can affect the skin and whatnot...hmmmm....interesting :)
Ill try my best and see what I can do! read on! go on, ya know you want to!

You can use oils as part of a ritual. In traditional magick, oils are placed in the west of the altar (if you even have one) for the water element, or the east, if lit, to symbolize the fragrance rising on the Air. But they can equally form the focus of any spell, each oil being charged with its particular purpose before use.

Oils are very potent and should only be used when needed to, although they do have un-magickal purposes such as relaxation and health.

Certain oils, particularly citrus oils, can irritate the skin when/if exposed to light. About half of the normal amount of other oils could be used in baths and massage. (mmm i feel like a bath now XD) Avoid direct sunlight for six hours after use. (its true, it can sting sometimes) Some can be an irritant to the skin and so should be used sparingly and well-diluted.

Oils should never be taken internally. except for pure rose and lavender, and should not be applied undiluted to the skin!

Man....i would take this advice seriously people! Ive tried this once and it really stings, except at night of course! Im done so im gonna go away now! blessed be!
