Just a question

I've seen and own every episode of the show charmed, and there's alot of incantations on this website that are said on this website. Is there a link between the show and this site. or are the spells just copies of the show or are the writer's of the shows actually using real spells?

There are many members of this site influenced by television shows, and Hollywood movies. Some of these shows, sometimes, put in a little of a real ritual; probably what the scriptwriters have read about. But in the main it's tripe! Just like the Harry Potter stories. Entertaining tripe,of course! But still, well, fiction!

a lot of spells on this site are "copied" from fiction books, shows movies, ect. you kind of have to sort though them for yourself of course you can always write your own~ But i wouldn't really say there is a "link" between the two.
(awesome show by the way~)

No there is no connection between those shows and this site. The shows are depictions of magick practice with added theatrics to make the whole thing more appeasing and give it "WOW!" factor. Designed to play on people's fantasies, boost ratings, and overall entertain.

Those spells and incantations being posted on this site are generally by the younger crowd, who really do not know much about Magick or the true practice of it.

AS for whether or not the show's writers actually practice or not, I have no clue. You might become driven to look them up and ask.

Most views on this thread are correct. There are many youngsters who wish to learn. They can be "pointed" in the right direction. But most books on magic are written for money! Magic cannot really be taught by reading about it; it is best by personal tuition. Most of the so-called "teachers" of magic, are only quoting from books. And even the many videos of spells and rituals are mostly faked. If you really want to learn magic, join a real, actual, coven. (If you can find one! They are very secretive!) Join The Pagan Federation.

Actually there are many covens that are very open to the public. They might not be accepting new members but they have sister covens or branches that stem from the original one. I am solitary and have learned the craft through a verity of sources. From books, to practicing alone, learning from a coven, practicing with other people, and talking to others including those who have passed on into the spirit realm. I found the best teacher was myself not someone else telling me what I needed to learn or do.

The spells and other magical aspects shown on charmed is like any other entertainment show. Though there might be some actually magic scattered through out it is mostly exaggerated or made up for dramatic purposes. After all the realistic magic is no where near as exciting as the other. I haven't watch an episode in years but if I remember correctly the first season or seasons had more actual magic reference than the later episodes. It is like any fiction about about magic between the lines of bull there is some truth you just need to be able to have the instincts to sort it out.
