My only question here is why would you come to magick before a doctor?

A slipped disk is incredibly painful and should only be treated by a doctor, not magick.

My father had relief from opiate based pain killers and monthly doctor visits as well as a chiropractor twice a week
This is a life altering medical condition not a magick issue

I'm reluctant to comment on this as it depends on her condition. Physically she needs regular exercise to build up those muscle groups. Medically she may be at the stage where she needs intervention to stop it becoming worse.

ONLY if its minor... saurkraut. Dollop... leave a while. Daftest thing youre likely to hear. Seriously though, dont put her at risk and keep a close eye on her.

Slipped disks are extremely painful and not something to be messed with. You don't want permanent nerve damage. You did not mention exactly which disks it is.
I know it's a difficult process. I have a couple in my lower back. But seeing a doctor following MD orders which depending on the severity may include anything from physical therapy, to injections, to surgery.
But to help and give some relief for her pain icing it a few times a day for no more then 15 min will help. Heat does make it feel better but in ultimately will just hurt more but it can increase the inflammation.
I can't recommend any herbs that could help because she does needntinbe seen by an MD

Has anyone considered she may have seen a doctor/and gotten medication but her husband may be seeking further help?

My mother has a fused spine and several herniated disks. Magick should only be an final add-on after doctors help.
