Love At First Sight

Does it ever happen? I believe that, sometimes, it does. Two people meet, and it is as though they are "struck with a thunderbolt". It is instantaneous. They "know"!
Gay men know each other, instantly.
I believe that the same thing happens with a Mentor/Teacher. I made a comment on another post that you don't find a teacher; "the teacher finds you". It rarely happens, but it does happen. An experienced witch can spot a potential student, instantly.
One sees a young boy or girl, and they have a "stillness" about them. They seem to have "open eyes" that miss nothing! They are "aware"; they "know".
Witches can always recognize another witch. It happens to me, quite often. Yet, I am a very ordinary looking man. There is nothing unusual in my dress or bearing.
In the nearest town to the village where I live there is a "magic" shop. I first entered that shop when I first came to live here, eleven years ago.
Although I was the first customer at the counter, the shopkeeper smiled and asked if I would mind if she served the lady behind me. I nodded, alright by me. The lady had a little girl with her and was buying a Halloween costume. When the lady left the shop, the lady behind the counter said,
"We have a good selection of incense. Natural Frankincense."
I asked her how she knew. She said, "It's in your eyes! I knew you were a witch as soon as you walked into the shop."
I gave a little laugh, "Yes! I knew you right away!"
It has happened many times over the years. It is why I believe that a student should not really look for a teacher. The teacher will find the student!

I actually really love this post, fair play Brysing :) I've had similar experiences myself, one time a now-friend of mine was winding me up, teasing me and calling me "witchy" (repeatedly -_-) hoping I'd curse him, no idea why, apparently he does this all the time.
I knew he wanted it so I resisted the temptation and we all went back to playing PS, afterwards when I was leaving he gave me a hug and said I was the first witch to forget to cast a spell on him. I'm proud of that :P

Great job Brysing, it shows that there is a connection between all of us. And the special one for someone and what they are looking for can be observed with great telented persons and by anyone and everyone got the power to convince themself as well as that special one. And that special one can't ignore it if you are right, because of the connections maybe through astral connections or frequencies all around. Like you still remember that shopkeeper and their telent and words.

No Dragon it doesn't meant that, actually the people who are very much in something or some topic(like witchcraft here) since a long time, can understand, see, smell a little action from far more distance, without any real vision, clue, and also that is not their guess though, they are fully assured with what they are looking for and the thing they looked in that person's wandering posture, ways of their talking, eye(which wandering for insence in case of brysing).
And these incedents can be happens anytime not only for withchcraft but relationships, teaching, playing, like maybe you came across a doctor and he will suggest you for a check up. And you will find that he was right, and if he was not there at the moment the problem might be more serious and dangerous, and can harm you more, even loss of money. Another example is like you joined a new school, you went in your class, and found someones face familiar or can recognise his face better that others in the class, and the second day you'll found that he is also taking football/baseball/rudgy classes with you, with your or your opponent's team and he is your best friend or enemy/competetor there. And belive me this type of competetor helps a lot in increasing your ability to play that game better, and this is necessary in life.
The same way a teacher can find that in someone what he was looking for a long time.

What I meant by the teacher finding the student, is the teacher finding a student who can be taught! Not every child or young person can be taught. Some prefer to learn by themselves. What the witch looks for is that "inner calm". That "stillness" that says "I want the truth, not fairy stories."
For years I thought my witch teacher had started to teach me because she had no children of own. But when I was older and asked why she had started to teach me when I was so young, she said, "You were a young boy who wanted to know. Not just to see,and to hear, but to know!"
Every child will ask questions of adults. "What is that? What is this? How does that move? What makes it work?"
The child who will grow up to be a witch always asks the same question, "Why?".

I have to agree! I've been able to spot people similar to me as well. Not even just fellow witches, but people who share other common traits.

Oh ok I always ask why, but I always test people like if someone gets upset for asking a question kinds means there not gathering there thoughts just food for thought

It is not so much the question, but how it is answered. The "would be witch" wants to know "why" the sky is Blue, because he/she can see that it often isn't! Children are told that the Sun rises in the East and Sets in the West. The would be witch asks,"Why?". And most adults will answer "Because it does!"
But it doesn't, does it?
The type of young person I am talking about does not want to be told "beliefs". He/she wants to "know". When such a child is asked, "Do you believe in fairies?". He/she will say, "I don't know.I've never seen one."
And then when they are told"Oh, but you must believe in fairies!"
The child will ask, "Why?". That child will become a witch!
