Binding is the wrong idea, what you are thinking of is giving it an anchor or vessel, which should only be done once serious trust is developed between you both. Giving the wrong spirit a physical "home" is like handing a pyromaniac matches. It's just not smart.

As for offerings to house spirits, that's a wonderful idea. I suggest you start out with a small dish of honey because it doesn't rot or smell, it won't harm pets that may get to it, and it's entirely natural. You can rinse the dish outside with spring water every week or so and add fresh honey. If you like to bake, they also love fresh bread, cakes, and cookies. After a day or two left out, put it outside for the birds and squirrels. NeverNever put old offerings down a drain or in the garbage. What I have been told us that after they take the energy of the offering, where the physical offering goes still has connection to them and letting it mingle with sewage or the gross things we can throw in the garbage is just disgusting and disrespectful. Some spirits will insist it be buried and not eaten by animals. But most don't mind mingling with the little critters.

That's like asking if giving a gift of candy to a co-worker will make them more friendly with you. It will depend on their personality, but most times, yes, kindness is reciprocated.

I see you point :) . I have made this spirit a offering bowl although I don't think it necessary I did believe it a token of good will. and since I defiantly know it is not evil I see no harm in doing so.
