Ignorant People.

I just had someone tell me I'm going to Hell for being a witch and not believing in God because "just because I don't believe in it doesn't mean it isn't true." Anyone else have to put up with this ignorance?

Of course. Even those folks have to deal with that type of folks. Many people think their belief is the best for everyone, and try to convince everyone else to convert -- even by less than tactful methods.

Sure. But they're fun to mess with. I made one guy leave his street corner where he went all day every weekend to literally flap his religion's literature in other people's faces.

I'm not condoning being a jerk to them. No matter what you do, they won't change, and they'll take every response as something it is not.

It's pretty standard. Laugh. Pity the narrow view. Move on with life.

All my life. Funnily enough, I took it much worse earlier on because there was enough awfulness in my birth religion to put me off it, but because it was my birth religion a big part of me still believed in it. So, that's the part that would rear its ugly head when the "you gonna go to Hell!" stuff started.

Years later, I got in touch with some no-name, no-mythology patron that not even pagans would believe in, and the same tirade coming at me just became a lot of noise. The person ranting at me couldn't possibly know what they were talking about because I didn't even know what they were talking about!

Fortunately, I had gathered just enough to move out, so... I literally no longer "have to" put up with this ignorance from family, or within a circle of so-called friends, but casual hostility in the workplace is another matter when the dominant religion still holds so much cultural clout.

When people tell me to go to Hel, I tell them that I likely will when I die.

Oh, good ol' Norse pagan humor.

*insert knee slap here*

To quote The Simpsons "If the Lord is all-powerful, why does he care whether we worship him or not?"

"You're going to Hell!"

"Uhh? I'm going to Freya. I've already visited Hel."

There are millions who even do say that jesus himself was a witch.
According to my thoughts witchcraft is the only and true religion of humanity, as by practicing it one gets to know what a human himself can.
All it depends on what are you doing good or bad.
But still don't worry, live this life to fullest, don't worry the things that are going to happen after your death.
