what is the difference between a crow and a raven? this is serious and not some stupid joke.

They are different species but they are both part of the corvidae family. The differences depend on the specific species of raven and crow but they have different wing, tail, and beak shapes and make different sounds.

Greetings,
First, they are not the same bird. Both crow and raven belong in the Corvidae family which contains more than 40 species including those two. The word raven is used to describe the the bigger-sized birds of this family.
