Stealing Energy

One day my friend and i were in class talking. She was sitting down and tired. Then I get this idea. While behind her I put my hands on each side of her head, put my head on hers, and pulled with my energy. While I pulled she almost falls back in her chair to sleep. Her being a learning wiccan, suspected what I did and of course asked why and shooed me away from her head.

Recently I thought: what if this were applied to a spell? If say I were to use someone elses energy to cast a spell instead of using energy from the general universe, earth or moon, would there be negative side effects? Would that person be harmed in any way? Would the spell or rotual go horribly wrong? Would I suffer a consequence? Ultimately, is it wrong to just use someones energy?

Would they make more energy later on to replace what's been taken? I didnt want to try it, even with a willing friend, without getting some ideas from others.

This is spell I think most people here know, but few use. You don't need to worry about draining away someone's life force, you are just taking the energy used by their body for things like stamina. You feel tired when your energy is drained, but it's hardly ever dangerous and you can easily replenish energy by resting or eating. This spell only poses a danger if used on someone who is particularly weak and unhealthy or is used consistently over a long period of time. I only use this sort of magic when I really have to, and even then I almost always draw energy from large trees. Trees seem to have the most spare energy to offer, and they are usually close to one another so you can draw a small amount from several of them at once without risking harm to any single one.

I do the same thing. I draw energy from trees and plants, and just about anything. I have been wondering if a person can draw out enough energy to knock out a person.

I think it's technically possible, but I seriously doubt you could draw that much energy at once. I always stop taking energy when I'm full, I assume taking more energy after that would give you a similar sensation as a stomach ache. I only know it's possible to pass out from energy loss because using your energy to cast magic makes you tired, but your body automatically tells you to rest before you faint so it only happens if you keep pushing yourself.

A person's energy can be a nasty thing. You have enough problems, you don't need theirs as well.

I do largely agree with you Ko. I haven't done this spell in years. I always thought psi-vampires drained energy without realizing it.

I don't think it's necessarily bad to do it but I don't think it's polite. I personally would be a little offended if someone stole my energy for a spell of their own, I would only use it in emergency. Another thing is that some people have energy that you just don't want, it could be negative energy and by taking it, it would have an effect on you so if you ever did do it, I would watch who's energy I took from.

What about stealing energy from desks and things made out of trees?

Inanimate object probably have energy, but in such small and "unrefined" (living things process energy as well as matter) quantities I doubt you could use it for anything. Dead things lose their energy very quickly, it doesn't really go anywhere it just leaks out into the environment because there' snot hung holding it in. At least, that's what I think based on my experience.
