"Easy"

Okay throught out my "times" on here, I realize that a word has been used hundreds of times and shouldn't be used, this word is "easy". Magic(k) is not "easy". Magic(k) takes commitment just like everything else in life. Learning the ups and the downs, the reals and the fakes. "Easy" is a over used word, nothing is easy, if it was people would get what ever they wanted (not talking about spoiled rich kids either).

Yes I have caught myself use "easy" a lot as well, so when I learned and realized that magic(k) is not "easy" in anyway, I stopped.

This also includes spells, no spell is "easy" it might be "easier" then the last one, but it does require work. No spell will not require work on your part. Magic(k) isn't there to do everything for you, magic(k) is there to help you with you goal.

I have seen people looking for spells to do things for them (reverting to "easy" magic(k) no one got anywere going the easy route.).

I have found that nothing is 'easy' when it comes to magick, but I've also found nothing is 'hard' either. Everything just needs a certain level of dedication and effort. For example, taking an AP course isn't necessarily harder, it just takes more dedication and effort on your part than a regular course would.

So yes, witchlife is correct in saying magick takes hard work and dedication. Magick is not something used to take shortcuts in life, and if that's how you plan to try and use it, you're not going to get very far in your practices.

When I say easy
I am not referring to doing the spell is easy
I refer that getting ready for the spell is easy
I refer learning the spell is easy
But doing the spell is a entire different story
You must use a variety of skills concentration , visualization, skill to block paranoia
So when I say easy that is what I mean

Now may I ask how do you exactly know I was referring to you in general. I was referring to anyone who says "easy" magic(k).

When we look at folk lore and folk magic, especially of America, we notice the simplicity of their methods. Simplicity does not mean lack of power, nor does it mean the "spell" is not real.

Archaeologists have found witch's bottles in Europe. The same culture with many tales of magic. I think that these ancient people lived their lives full of folk practices without thinking about it. Looking at how these people lived everyday explains why they did not have a long drawn out ritual for something they needed.

Because of the simplicity, most people debase the practices by referring to them as wives tales or superstition. I find it rather insulting. Magic is simple and is available for anyone who wants to practice it.

So yes, I see magic as very "easy." Anyone can do it. However, there are practices that add to the effectiveness of a work/spell. People can cast when they first start out. Focus, understanding the energy one is working with, and knowing "what ever I want, I can have" are just extremely helpful and useful skills/mindsets that will make a working much more effective, whether "shielding" or placing salt and black pepper in the shoes.

More so, the rhetoric that should be used in teaching anything should not be discouraging.
