Soulmates?

I've heard many people talk about soulmates. Elders who have been married a long time say they had found their soulmate. I myself don't believe in soulmates. For example, what if your "soulmate" dies at a young age? Will you be alone till death? There are a lot of possibilities with relationships. We all have free will and that means if we are in a mutual relationship with someone and deem them our soulmate, they could easily fall in love with someone else and reject us. This is just what I believe, I'm not saying this is a fact. If you think differently, I'd love to know why you believe that way.

I know that I have always questioned soulmates. What if my soulmate lived across the world and I never get there? Am I destined to be alone forever? I could never comprehend how my soulmate just happened to live in the same 50 mile radius. I am anxious to hear other replies!

I feel that some are connected sometimes even through many lives. But then again it could just be that their personalities mesh so well with each others that they appear to be soul mates. It's hard to say. I know it would totally bite to find that someone and find out they are so far away and you can't be with them in this life for whatever reason.

I believe very strongly in soulmates and I also believe you can have more than one... How you may ask? First ask what is a soulmate? Once you have defined this for yourself then you will see it claerly. You know you have found your when your souls have touched and you have found harmony together... This has been my exprerience of a soulmate! Love and light to you

Oh, I believe there's more than one person we're "destined to", but since there's more than one person, I just can't call it a soulmate. This is one of those controversial topics.

There are few interesting ideas behind soul mates. We cant forget that our subconsious has more parts than just our souls. For awhile there I was convinced that I had found mine. My spirit guide had told me this and that there wasn't a way to get out of it. Later i found that what I thought was my spirit guide was actually a shadow self, everything I have repressed through the years. She was a perfect match for him not my soul.
