You could try Oberon Zell Ravenheart's: Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard.

I would recomend Judika Illes' Pure Magic, a Course in Spellcasting.

She is a good author, cites her sources and most importantly knows what she is talking about, this book is a good guide to beginners, giving a lot of history and information and providing some simple and more complicated spells for a beginner.
