I found a great little application/computer program that is essentially a BOS on your computer that lets you save your spells, rituals, recipes, and incense mixtures. It's very basic and somewhat archaic as their isn't a whole lot of user functionality however you can personalize the name of your book of shadows and even password protect it if you like. I scanned the software using the most current updated of McAfee Anti Virus Plus and there were no viruses or spyware detected, I then double checked using Malware bytes Anti-Malware and still found nothing. So I would say it's safe to use since I have had no trouble using so far, like I said it's very basic in nature but I thought I'd share it with everyone.
Note* After installing which is very simple and fast, you will have to go into your computer, then find your program files, and look for the program there as it does not create a desktop or shortcut icon.
There are other programs here but I have not downloaded or checked them all for viruses or any other malicious aspects so I can't speak for the rest.
I am running on windows vista 32 bit operating system, works just fine for myself. However it is important to distinguish whether you can't do the download which happens immediately, or if you have problems installing the program. The installation process is fast but weird, at first I thought it didn't work so I tried several times. The thing is the program becomes installed, however the program is located your hard drive, then program files under the name BOS. You kind of have to be somewhat tech savvy in order to figure it out properly
Like I said, it is very basic and doesn't have hardly any user functionality to the program, and yes of course Microsoft word is very customizable and user friendly, however the only real difference and benefit is that this program saves your information in a database file, rather than saving each word file document and so on. Really it's matter of preference and just another tool I found for those who want it.
for those of us who are fourtune it to have windows 7. most programs when first installed show up in the start menu. actully even with vista that last sentice should be true.
